Las Vegas 9, Sacramento 4

Jordany Valdespin continued his torrid hitting since being demoted, going 3 for 3 and falling a homerun shy of the cycle.

The 51s got off to a fast start, highlighted by extra base hits off the bats of Zach Lutz and Mike Baxter— leading to four runs in the second inning. They carried that hot hand into the third when Wilmer Flores came around to score on a Valdespin triple. Jordany would later score on a wild pitch.

Despite being handed a four run cushion, 51s starting pitcher Giancarlo Alvarado failed to pitch into the fifth inning. He surrendered four runs in the third; three of those runs coming on a homerun by outfielder Michael Choice. Alvarado would be replaced by Justin Hampson who would pitch two scoreless innings and earn the win.

Las Vegas would tack on three more runs in the later stages of the game. Two of those runs coming on a single by Matt Den Dekker.

Pedro Feliciano pitched a scoreless ninth inning, striking out a batter without allowing a hit.
