Our own Jacob Resnick reports that right-handed reliever Adonis Uceta and utility man Jason Krizan has agreed to deals to stay in the Mets organization. Both were scheduled to be free agents this offseason.

Uceta, 25, pitched to a 1.44 ERA and 1.03 WHIP in 56 1/3 innings for Double-A Binghamton during the 2019 season. He had 55 strikeouts, 17 walks, and allowed only three homers in that span. The Dominican did allow five runs in only 1 1/3 innings of work for the Triple-A Syracuse Mets.

The right-hander is currently pitching in the Dominican Winter League for the Leones del Escogido. He has 6 1/3 scoreless innings so far.

Krizan, 30, played first base, second base, right field, left field, and even pitched three times in 2019 between Double-A Binghamton and Triple-A Syracuse. The left-hander hitter slashed .275/.358/.469 with 31 doubles, 14 home runs, and 65 RBIs combined with 97 games in Bingamton and 20 in Syracuse.

Minor leaguers that became free agents this offseason include former first round pick Gavin Cecchini, knuckleballer Mickey Jannis, and major league vet Danny Espinosa.
