Surprise Saguaros (3-3) 9 – Scottsdale Scorpions (2-4) 8
Box Score

RF Kevin Kaczmarski 1-4, R, K, GIDP

For this first time in his three starts, Kaczmarski did not have a multi-hit game, and the team could have used one from him.  In the seventh, he stunted a rally hitting into a double play.  In the eighth, he came up with a runner on and one out, and he struck out.  While Kaczmarksi contributed offensively, the team just needed a little bit more in what proved to be a one run loss.

LHP Kyle Regnault 1.2 IP, H, BB

Yankee prospect Justus Sheffield departed after 4.1 innings leaving runners on first and second with one out.  Regnault would allow both inherited runners to score.  The first was off a RBI single.  The second was due to a throwing error by Yankees prospect Thairo Estrada on what should have been an inning ending double play.  Ultimately, Regnault left the game with the lead, and he would be one of the two Scorpions pitchers to not allow a run.  The three other Scorpions pitchers allowed three runs a piece including Yankees prospect Andrew Schwaab who surrendered three runs in the bottom of the ninth leading to the Scorpions loss.
