So here’s the rundown on what has happened with our prospects so far in the Arizona Fall League…
The Arms
Hansel Robles: 1.0 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 2 ER, 1 K
Chasen Bradford: 2.1 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 ER, 2 K
Cody Satterwhite: 2.0 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 ER, 1 SV, 2 K
The Bats
Cam Maron: 2-for-5, 1 2B, 1 BB
Cory Vaughn: 1-for-13, 1 3B, 7 K
Aderlin Rodriguez: 0-for-7
So far, it looks like a mixed bag of results. I’m waiting on Familia to pitch because I think he’ll be a huge part of the 2014 bullpen — and I hope Vaughn finds a way to turn it around in the AFL so he can take some momentum into 2014 as well.
Satterwhite, Bradford, and Robles all saw time on the mound with St. Lucie this season, with Bradford working in Double-A as well. Robles began his season in the GCL.
On the flip side, Maron and Rodriguez spent their time in St. Lucie in 2013, with Maron struggling on offense. Rodriguez was plagued with injury most of the year. Vaughn, of course, is coming off an injury-plagued season as well.
Keep an eye on Bradford, he has been flying under the radar and will surprise a lot of people very soon.
How hard do Satterwhite and Bradford throw? Do they have major league fastballs?
