In our #FallStars interview, #Mets @andresgimenez emphasized being on plane and showed us his line drive bat path: here, he gets a changeup away at the belt and stays right on it to shoot the left field gap. Shows off the wheels for the triple! ⚡️⚡️⚡️ pic.twitter.com/BWjVdJRzVQ

Gimenez continues to rack up multi hit games with regularity. With his two hit performance last night, he now has multi-hit games in seven of his last eleven games. His triple to lead off the bottom of the sixth inning did go to waste though as he got caught in a run-down on a grounder to third later in the inning. He also continues to impress defensively as he made this wonderful play last night….
Another good run time for #Angels @brandon_marsh22—4️⃣.1️⃣0️⃣—but #Mets @andresgimenez makes a stellar spinorama play to his left and the umpire incorrectly says out! 9th inning of a mid-October game, 3-0 score, yet these guys are still going all out…respect 👏 pic.twitter.com/fSftGP8qt9

On the mound, Gilliam struggled with his command as he threw only 16 of his 32 pitches for strikes (50%) leading to his first two walks of the AFL season last night. He got himself into trouble in the top of the eighth, with runners on second and third and only one out, but, Gilliam was able to bail himself out via a weak fly-out and strikeout to maintain the Scorpions 3-0 lead thus earning his team leading third hold of the season.
