Angel Cuan‘s Double-A debut was indeed just a spot start for the left-hander:
#BMets sent pitchers Angel Cuan and Hamilton Bennett back to Single-A St. Lucie. Noah Syndergaard and Joe Bonfe back on roster

As usual, Lynn Worthy is on top of his game when it comes to B-Mets news. as I said earlier, Cuan made his debut with the Binghamton Mets last night against the Richmond Flying Squirrels at NYSEG Park. He got the loss, but did pitch pretty well; he allowed three runs on seven hits, one walk, and five strikeouts in six innings pitched.
Hamilton Bennett will be joining Cuan on the return trip to St. Lucie. He appeared in two games for the B-Mets as a reliever, allowing one hit, one walk, and struck out four in three innings pitched.
This roster move opens back up a spot for Noah Syndergaard, who will be pitching this afternoon in the series finale against Richmond. Outfielder Joe Bonfe was also added to the roster. He’s hitting .241/.308/.316 with one home run and 12 RBIs in 79 Double-A at-bats.
Why is Hamilton Bennett still in St. Lucie? I know he’s not a real prospect, but his numbers indicate that he should have been in AA months ago…
Agree But I don’t know what you mean by “real Prospect” thought if you were on the payroll you were a prospect.. anyway after listening to tonights gane it sounds like he is toying w the high A batters I guess 3IP 4K 1H wasn’t good enough for AA ball???????? Wish MMO could find out
