The Binghamton Mets have released their official schedule for the 2014 season, and have announced they will open up their year of Double-A baseball against the Akron Aeros on Thursday, April 3.

Coming off of a historic year that saw a franchise record 86 victories and a regular season division title, the B-Mets will look to improve on their success and rebound from a 3-0 sweep in the Eastern Division Championship at the hands of the Trenton Thunder.

The B-Mets home, NSEG Stadium, is set to host games on notable holidays such as Mother’s Day (May 11), Father’s Day (May 26), Memorial Day (June 15) and Independence Day (July 4).

Binghamton will also face off against the Trenton Thunder in a rematch of the 2013 Eastern Division Championship Series in a four-game series from July 17-20. The Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees defeated Mets and ended their season on September 6.
