According to Press & Sun Bulletin reporter Lynn Worthy, the organization is shaking up the bullpen in Binghamton. Sending struggling Mike Hepple (2-3, 6.30 ERA) and Kelly Secrest (0-1, 5.51) down to St Lucie. Hepple’s struggles were mentioned last week as he made our Who’s Not list

Replacing them on the Binghamton roster will be pitchers who have dominated the Florida State League so far. Tim Peterson (1-0) who recorded his second save tonight, lowering his ERA to 0.49. The 25-year old righty has struck out 32 batters in 18.1 innings this year compared to only three walks.

Joining him for the trip to New York is left-hander Alberto Balonado who has a 0.93 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. The 23-year old Panamanian has struck out 21 batters in 19.1 innings in 2016 after having 74 K’s in 56.2 innings last season for the Savannah Sand Gnats.

More to come on the newest Binghamton Mets in the coming days.
