Dunedin 4, St. Lucie 3
St. Lucie starting pitcher Matthew Bowman did his part to give his team a chance to win Monday night, but the bullpen faltered over the final two innings, as the Dunedin Blue Jays won, 4-3, in walk-off fashion.
Bowman was dialed in all night, though, striking five of the first nine batters he faced. Bowman had nine strikeouts through the first four innings.
Dunedin took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning on an Andy Burns sacrifice fly. The Mets tied the game in the top of the eighth inning when Cam Maron drew a bases-loaded walk. But Ryan Fraser coughed the lead back up when MIke Crouse doubled home Jon Talley to give Dunedin a 3-2 lead.
Bowman finished the night with 11 strikeouts and one walk over seven innings. He allowed two earned runs on six hits.
