Las Vegas 8, Tucson 4
Eric Campbell went 2-for-4 with four RBIs and a run scored to lead the Las Vegas 51s to an 8-4 victory over the Tucson Padres on Wednesday.
The 51s scored first, tallying four runs in the fourth inning. Campbell drove in a pair of runs with a two-RBI double to left field. Las Vegas added three more in the sixth inning when Campbell drove in two more runs on a single to center field. The three runs went a long way as the Padres scored four runs in the bottom half of the inning to make things interesting.
The 51s added another run in the top of the seventh, and the bullpen was able to nail down Matt Fox’s second win of the season. Fox went six innings, allowing four runs (all earned) on six hits. He struck out four and walked one.
Las Vegas improved to 37-34, while the Padres dropped to 38-35. The two teams continue their series at Tucson with another game 7:05 p.m. Thursday.

(Team Report)
WIthout having seen it, I would think that the 3 BBs is a positive sign for Ike. Unless the pitches were awful, any evidence of him laying off bad pitches and out of the zone breaking stuff is a step forward.
Backman has stated, rather emphatically, that Campbell just crushes left handed pitching.
