Updated: Columbia Fireflies closer Alex Palsha has been added to the South Atlantic League All-Star Southern Division roster. This season he has gone a perfect ten for ten in save opportunities while striking out 40 batters in 29 innings. He has a 2.79 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and the league is hitting only .190 off him.

The South Atlantic League All-Stars were announced with three players representing the Colombia Fireflies on the roster. Third baseman David Thompson, starting pitcher P.J. Conlon and second baseman Vinny Siena all made the team.

Thompson, 22, leads the league with 49 RBI and is third with his 20 doubles. Thompson is batting .288/.343/.463 in 55 games played. Before Thompson missed a couple of weeks with a rib injury he led all pro ball in runs batted in.

Conlon, 22, is the South Atlantic League leader in wins (8) and third in ERA (1.84). On June 4th, he became the first MILB pitcher since 09/04/2005 to pitch 10 innings in a game. Conlon is second in the league in WHIP (1.00) and innings pitched (78.1 IP). He is having a great season in his first year as a full time starter. He has nothing left to prove in the SAL and should be in the Florida State League after the break.

Siena, 22, leads the South Atlantic league in both OBP (.443) and is second in runs scored (51). He is one of the biggest reasons Thompson has the RBI lead. The second baseman has hit .295/.443/.400. He also stole six bases while batting mostly second in the lineup.

The game takes place on June 21st at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in Lexington, Kentucky.

Last week, Amed Rosario, Wuilmer Becerra, Tomas Nido and Alberto Baldonado were named Florida State League All-Stars.
