According to Betsy Helfand of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, 51s starting pitcher Corey Oswalt went on the disabled list Friday with lat tightness. In his place, newly signed (or re-signed, rather) Aaron Laffey was added to the Las Vegas roster ahead of his start against Tacoma.

There had been a slight possibility that Oswalt would be recalled to start one end of the Mets’ doubleheader in Atlanta on Monday, but he will obviously take the time to fully recover from any discomfort. In his last outing on Wednesday, Oswalt struck out six batters in six innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits.

Helfand also provided some notes on a pair of major leaguers on rehab in Las Vegas. Kevin Plawecki, who received three at-bats on Wednesday and again on Thursday, will DH on Friday and return to the plate on Saturday. Hansel Robles, who allowed a run on three hits in an inning on Wednesday, is scheduled to work on Friday and Saturday.
