Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports that right-hander Cory Mazzoni, who was injured in the Mets final Grapefruit League game, is expected to resume throwing later this week.

on April 9th, Adam Rubin of ESPN NewYork reported through a team official that the Mets doctors diagnosed Cory Mazzoni with a lat strain. The initial diagnosis had involved the triceps.

Mazzoni, 24, who pitched with Binghmaton in 2013, started 12 games, and was 5-3, with a 4.36 ERA, with 74 strikeouts in 66 innings.
