pedro-felicianoThe B-Mets announced a flurry of roster moves via twitter (both links). Here’s what’s happening in Binghamton:

Cory Vaughn hasn’t seen action with the B-Mets since the beginning of June. He went on the disabled list with an elbow strain. Once he received the good news that he wouldn’t need surgery to help the injury heal, he began the long process of rehabilitation.

He spent nine games with the GCL Mets, putting together a triple slash of .172/.359/.345 with nine walks and nine strikeouts in 29 at-bats. He takes the next step in his rehab tonight, as he’s officially re-instated from the DL and has been transferred to the Florida State League with St. Lucie. Prior to his injury, Vaughn was having a solid season with Binghamton, hitting .288/.370/.447 with six home runs and 31 RBIs in 170 at-bats.

After throwing 14.1 innings and compiling a 1.26 ERA and .180 opponent batting average against Eastern League competition, Pedro Feliciano has been promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas. His velocity and whether or not he can maintain it on back-to-back days remains a question, but he’s shown more consistency getting his fastball in the mid-80s.

Jim Fuller has had a tough time adjust to the EL since his promotion from St. Lucie, and it just got a little tougher. He’s pitched to a 9.64 ERA in 14 innings pitched, and has now been placed on the disabled list with bicep tendonitis.

Greg Peavey and Armando Rodriguez will also be heading from Las Vegas to Binghamton. Peavey was 4-3 with a 6.00 ERA, 36 strikeouts, and 27 walks in 57 innings pitched for the 51s.

Rodriguez has also had a problem with walking hitters; he’s 1-2 with a 4.09 ERA, 40 strikeouts, and 24 walks in 44 innings pitched.
