Las Vegas 51s batters combined to hit three home runs tonight against visiting New Orleans, but it wasn’t enough in a 12-9 loss at Cashman Field.
Travis d’Arnaud went 3-for-5 and drove in three runs for Las Vegas, including a two-run home run in the first inning for a 2-0 Las Vegas lead.
However, New Orleans scored three runs in the second inning and six in the third to take the lead for good.
Matt den Dekker and Brian Bixler each also homered for Las Vegas.
With his three hits, D’Arnaud finished a triple shy of the cycle last night and has raised his average to .327 in 16 Triple-A games this season.
