After being on the seven day disabled list for about a month, Desmond Lindsay has been activated, and he is in the lineup tonight as the DH.

There was no official team release regarding the nature of Lindsay’s injury. While there is no confirmation on what the injury was or how it occurred, the last play Lindsay was involved was a collision at home plate during the Fireflies June 12th win over the Charleston River Dogs.

On the play, Lindsay dove head first into home plate and had a collision with the River Dogs catcher. As it was the winning run of the game, we don’t know if he suffered an injury on that play that would have necessitated him coming out of the game.

Before the injury, Lindsay was having his best stretch of the season. In his last 12 games, he was hitting .333/.400/.694 with two doubles, a triple, three homers, and seven RBI.
