With the New York Mets releasing Marcos Molina, MLB Pipeline has updated their list of the Top 30 Mets prospects to include RHP Tony Dibrell as the organization’s 30th best prospect.

Dibrell, 22, was the Mets 2017 fourth round draft pick out of Kennesaw State University.  In 14 starts for Columbia this season, Dibrell is 3-4 with a 3.59 ERA, a complete game, 90 strikeouts, and a 1.391 WHIP.  His 90 strikeouts currently rank seventh in the South Atlantic League.  It should be noted Dibrell ranks this high despite having the fewest starts and second fewest innings pitched among the Top 10.

With Dibrell making the list, he joins fellow 2017 draft picks David Peterson, Mark Vientos, and Quinn Brodey.   At the moment, there are no members from the 2018 draft class, including Jarred Kelenic included in MLB Pipeline’s Top 30 Mets prospects.

While Dibrell was added to this list, this was the only update made by MLB Pipeline.  There should be more updates coming as players like Jacob Rhame surpass the thresholds to lose their rookie status.  It will be interesting to see how far Dibrell moves up the list once that happens.  It will also be interesting to see which other prospects will join him on the list.
