The Arizona Fall League came to an end over the weekend when the Scottsdale Scorpions won the championship game. The guys over at MLB Pipeline chose their 13 man All-AFL Team and Dominic Smith was the only Met to make the team.  He was one of the eight prospects that played for the Salt River Rafters this fall and you can read the recap of the season right here.

Smith was chosen as the team’s first baseman after hitting .362/.483/.511 with four doubles, homerun, six RBI, eight runs scored, and 12 walks in 14 games. He missed two weeks of the season with a strained oblique including the Fall Stars game that he was named too.

He drew rave reviews for his defense all season in the Florida State League and those continued in the AFL. The Mets number 5 prospect according to MLB.com was the 2015 Florida State League Most Valuable Player after hitting .305/.354/.417 while leading all hitters with 33 doubles and 79 RBI.
