The reigning Florida State League Player of the Year and Home Run Champion is at it again, and this time, he is doing it with Double A Binghamton Mets in the Eastern League.

On Tuesday night, Dustin Lawley launched two home runs (12,13) in the B-Mets loss to New Britain 9-6, and finished the game 2 for 4, with two runs scored and the two jacks.

The 25-year old outfielder had a slow start to the season when he batted just .176/.263/.265, with a home run and six RBI’s in 68 at bats in the month of April. But as the calendar turned over to May, Lawley started to pick it up a bit with the bat.

In 85 at bats, he started to find his swing again and launched three home runs, driving in 11 and batted .259/.289/.447 in May. But in June, he became the dangerous hitter again and took off batting .280/.330/.570, with seven home runs, and 18 RBI’s in 100 at bats.

Now he didn’t waste time adding to his stats as July rolled around and looks to continue his current hot streak.

The B-Mets who currently sit in second place, six games back, are looking to repeat the magic from when they won the division in 2013 and even though they have a bit of a climb, with Lawley swinging a hot bat, he gives his team a great chance to win.
