Eric Young Jr. showed a touch of class during his recent rehab in Binghamton. Young Jr. showed a genuine appreciation for his role in providing a major league presence at the Mets minor league fan venue. Especially responsive to the autograph requests of kids, Young made himself available as much as possible to the Binghamton baseball fans. The Met outfielder worked the area behind the B-Met dugout chatting with young baseball fans before last weekend’s games and even between games of the Saturday’s doubleheader when he played as a B-Met.
Young’s graciousness and eagerness to chat with young baseball fans was recognized by the B-Met crowd who greeted the Met speedster warmly every time he stepped into the batter’s box.
That’s nice of him. EYJ appears to be a very nice person and a hard worker. He gets too much backlash from Mets fans for TC’s decision to overplay him.
