ESPN has included the names of the other 20 players believed to potentially be facing MLB discipline, and Mets top-hitting prospect Cesar Puello as well as Ex-Met Fernando Martinez are among those included.
In addition to Alex Rodriguez, Ryan Braun, Puello and Martinez, Melky Cabrera, Bartolo Colon, Yasmani Grandal, Nelson Cruz, Francisco Cervelli, Jesus Montero, Jhonny Peralta, Everth Cabrera, Fautini de los Santos, Jordan Norberto have all been named by Quinn as those who MLB will be targeting among others.
Quinn explains that several players are either “identified by code names” or their names appear in “other documents not obtained by ‘Outside the Lines.'”
Wow. This could end up being freakin’ huge!
He’s been tearing it up lately. Would be a shame to see him get suspended for an extended period of time. He’s only 22 and hitting very well so far in AA. He had his ninth hr tonight. Does anyone know how long this supposed suspension could be? I was really starting to get excited with his combination of power and speed while showing better plate discipline this year.
I agree with you 100 percent Lee. The more I think of this the more annoyed it makes me. Seeing what Puellos done this year, going along with all of his potential, and I was excited to think he could be patrolling RF in the near future putting up 20/20 seasons. This would be a terrible hit to our farm system and the future outlook of this franchise.
Lee,
“Does anyone know how long this supposed suspension could be?”
It would be a 50 game suspension for Puello if he is found guilty which the union would definitely appeal….some players like A-Roid and Ryan Braun aka “The Hebrew Needle” are potentially looking at a 100 game suspension
