fulmerMichael Fulmer made his first start in St. Lucie today after missing the beginning of this season with a meniscus injury. He went through a minor surgery, rehabbed, and took the field to start for the Mets against the Fort Myers Miracle.

Fulmer lasted 5.0 innings and allowed three earned runs off five hits and two walks, while striking out five. He gave up all three runs in the first inning, and then settled down for the rest of his start. So he didn’t set the world on fire but it’s great to see him back, honestly. I’ll get you guys updates on velocity as soon as I can, but it’s just nice to see Fulmer’s return to play. His first full year in the Mets organization got a lot of people, myself included, very excited about his future.
