There is no surprise on how many roster moves are made in the minor leagues throughout the year.  The Mets have been no exception to that in recent weeks, as many players have moved to different levels in the minor league system.

It was confirmed on Monday, that St. Lucie pitcher Gabriel Ynoa has been promoted to Double-A and will make his first start for the B-Mets on Thursday against New Britain.

Ynoa, 21, was signed by the New York Mets as a minor league free agent back in 2009.  Ynoa was carrying momentum over to St. Lucie from his success in 2013.  This season he has made 14 starts and has a record of 8-2.  In 82 innings of work, Ynoa has 64 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.95.

More recently, Ynoa had a five-game win streak snapped his last time out against Bradenton on June 28th.  He had a solid outing going seven innings giving up one run and five strikeouts in the no-decision.

It is unsure what other moves will be made to accommodate this promotion.
