As posted on the Bleacher Report, Mike Rosenbaum predicts that Gabriel Ynoa will be the biggest breakout prospect for Mets in 2014.
Its hard to argue that point, since Ynoa was nothing short of spectacular in 2013. In 22 games, he posted a 15-4 record, winning 10 more games than he did in 2012, holding opponents batters to a .238 average, while striking out 106 in 135.2 innings. By also winning the 2013 Topps/MiLB Player of The Year Award for the South Atlantic League and adding a championship to his trophy case, his success has put him on the map as a Top Prospect within the organization.
If Rosenbaum’s predictions are correct, the Mets may have another pitching ace on the horizon.
despite all the belly aching Alderson has done a helluva job building up the farm system? It was one of the worst when he came on board and it is now a top ten one. He has achieved financial stability waiting ou the disastrous Santana, bay!Castillo and Perez contracts. Now comes the heavy lifting. Can he do it? My money is yes he can.
