Well, the title says it all, right? Cecchini was already missing time with a high ankle sprain — he hadn’t seen game action since July 3rd and was in recovery. According to recent sources, Cecchini’s ankle was still swollen and needed a little time to heal. He might be alright to return after this DL stint alone.
Cecchini is the owner of a .259/.305/.315 slash line so far this season with three doubles, no home runs, and three RBI.
