Las Vegas middle infielder Luis Guillorme was not in the starting lineup in tonight’s game against the Cardinals Triple-A affiliate Memphis Red Birds.

With the Mets trading second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera to the Philadelphia Phillies, the Mets played short-handed against the Pittsburgh Pirates. As a result the Mets will be calling up a player to take Cabrera’s spot on the roster.

At the moment, Guillorme and Dominic Smith are the only infielders on the 40 man roster who are in the minor leagues. Considering Smith played left field today, it is likely he will not be getting called up.

Guillorme currently has a four game hitting streak, and he has hit .301/.356/.376 with four doubles, a homer, and 11 RBI since being sent back down to Las Vegas.

It should also be noted in the event the Mets looked to add an outfielder to the Major League roster, Kevin Kaczmarski was also out of the lineup tonight.
