Oklahoma City 6, Las Vegas 4

The Las Vegas 51s scored three runs in the first inning today against visiting Oklahoma City, but surrendered six unanswered runs in a 6-4 loss at Cashman Field. The good news for Las Vegas is Sacramento also lost today, meaning the 51s stayed one game behind the first-place River Cats in the Pacific Southern Division. The loss broke an eight-game winning streak for Sacramento.

Zach Lutz had a two-run triple for Las Vegas. Brandon Hicks hit a solo home run in the ninth inning for Las Vegas — his third home run in the past two games.

Matt Fox was on the hook for the loss here, as he allowed all six runs, but only four were earned. He was hurt by a two-run home run in the top of the fifth that contributed to his early exit.

Catcher Travis d’Arnaud, one of the New York Mets’ top prospects, went 1-for-3 with a run scored in his return to the 51s lineup.
