Adam Rubin of ESPN NY reported on Monday that Jenrry Mejia was given a clean report by the team doctor and according to Terry Collins, Mejia also threw a baseball on Sunday and was deemed healthy and ready to take his turn in the rotation on Friday, when the Mets face the Cincinnati Reds at Citi Field.

Mejia was struck with a line drive in the right forearm during last Friday’s game in Montreal. X-rays were negative, and he was diagnosed with inflammation.
