Greeneville 7, Kingsport 2

You can’t win em all — but that’s ok, because the Mets just need to win one tomorrow to advance. As for last night, solo home runs from Yeixon Ruiz and Jeckyol De Leon were not enough to save the K-Mets from defeat, and they dropped the game 7-2. Starter Carlos Gomez struggled and surrendered five earned runs, which was enough to put the Kingsport Mets away early in this one. The K-Mets managed eight hits, but couldn’t push any runners across outside of the home runs.

Robert Whalen will take the mound for the Kingsport Mets in the rubber game tomorrow, as a three-game series will decide the Appalachian Divisional Pennant. The game starts at 7:00 PM, so be sure to get on Twitter and wish @RobWhalen38 good luck as he pursues a big win for his team. It’s all or nothing!
