The Scottsdale Scorpions lost to the Mesa Solar Sox, 9-4. They are now 1-1 on the season.

Three of the eight Mets playing in the Arizona Fall League got game action Wednesday.

Kevin Kaczmarski had the best day, going 3 for 4 with a double, stolen and a RBI. Kaczmarski played left field and hit third for the Scorpios. Hitting in front of him and playing third base was David Thompson. Thompson went 1 for 4 with a double.

The two of them should be in Las Vegas next season where both will have something to prove. Kaczmarski will aim to hit for more power while Thompson will try to provide better defense and a more stable bat.

Matt Pobereyko pitched a scoreless 1.2 innings in relief with three strikeouts. The right-hander was picked up from Independent Ball and was solid for the Columbia Fireflies down the stretch striking out 53 in 34 innings.

Luis Guillorme, Kyle Regnault, Mickey Jannis and Tim Peterson have yet to appear in a game.

The Scorpions play again Thursday at 9:35 p.m. ET.
