There’s a new top prospect in all of baseball and his name is Amed Rosario.

Keith Law has released his updated Top 50 prospects and Rosario topped the list, with fellow Mets farmhand Dominic Smith coming in at No. 22.

Rosario, 21, ranked as the No. 3 prospect on Law’s list back in January, but with the two budding stars, Dansby Swanson and Andrew Benintendi, making the leap to the show, Rosario stands atop the list.

The potential future stud shortstop split time between Single-A St. Lucie and Double-A Binghamton in 2016, hitting a cumulative .324/.374/.459 with five homers and 71 RBI’s over the span of 120 games and 527 at-bats.

Rosario has begun the season with Triple-A Las Vegas this season and has gotten off to a 11-for-26 (.423 batting average) start.

As for Smith, the 21-year-old spent all of 2016 with Binghamton, appearing in 130 games and hitting at a .302/.367/.457 clip with 14 home runs and 91 RBI’s in 542 plate appearances.

In another small sample size, Smith is hitting .440/.462/.680 (11-for-25) in six games so far for the 51’s.

Rosario and Smith also headline MLB.com’s Mets Top 30 prospects list, ranking at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, as well as coming in as two of the ten youngest players to start the season at Triple-A in 2017.
