After suffering from what seemed to be an undisclosed hip injury in a game a couple nights ago, it seems that Kevin Plawecki will be able to avoid the DL after all. Plawecki returned to the line-up last night, going 0-for-3 in his first game action since June 27th.

Plawecki was recently promoted to St. Lucie after tearing it up early season in Savannah, and had a .361/.361/.528 slash through his first 36 at-bats in the FSL. He has 13 hits overall, with three doubles and a home run, but has failed to draw a walk.

His combined stats across both stats this year are: .320/.387/.498 with seven home runs, one triple, 27 doubles, and 52 RBIs with 39 runs scored.

In other injury news, Matt den Dekker will return to Triple-A after playing his last rehab game in St. Lucie last night, which you can read about here.
