Iowa 4, Las Vegas 0

Matt Fox took the mound for Las Vegas last night and was not all that bad, but received absolutely zero run support in the 51s 4-0 loss.

Fox allowed three runs over five innings off seven hits, including a lead-off solo home run to Logan Watkins in the first. Brad Nelson grounded out to get a second run home in the first, and a Dave Sappelt RBI single in the fifth accounted for his third earned run. Armando Rodriguez and Justin Hampson combined to pitch the sixth and seventh, with Hampson allowing an inherited runner from Rodriguez to cross the plate in the sixth.

Offensively, Vegas scattered seven hits, including a pair from Wilmer Flores and Brandon Hicks each. They were 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position as a team.
