Luis Guillorme Flashes His Quick Hands With Play Of Spring

During today’s Spring Training Game between the Miami Marlins and New York Mets, Mets shortstop prospect Luis Guillorme may have made what will be the play of the spring.


As many will tell you, Guillorme is the best defensive shortstop prospect in the Mets farm system.

Yes, even better than Amed Rosario. Personally, what I find most impressive is the fact that he didn’t even flinch. While everyone is scurrying to find shelter in the dugout, he’s calmly and coolly grabbing a bat mid-flight and tossing it back to the batter. This is certainly a play we will see over and over again.

The only question that remains is whether this is a Gold Glove or a Silver Slugger type of play.
