Luis Guillorme Helps Spain to 6-0 Victory Over Croatia

Team Spain improved to 3-0 on Sunday afternoon, beating Croatia by a 6-0 final score at the European Championship in Holland.

Mets prospect Luis Guillorme helped Team Spain with another two hit game. Guillorme went 2 for 5 with two RBIs, a run scored, a double and a stolen base. Guillorme is now four for nine with three RBIs since joining Team Spain. He started both games in the lead off spot and played short.

Former Mets top prospect Fernando Martinez went o for 2 with two walks and two runs scored. He is having a very solid tournament going 4 for 9 in his first three games. He’s collected four walks and scored six runs in only three games. Martinez homered in their first game against Belgium on Thursday and drove in five during the tournament (all in the first game).

Team Spain will play against one of the favorites Team Italy on Monday

Roger Bernadina, who played the 2016 season for the Las Vegas 51s, went 1 for 3 with a double, stolen base and a walk in a 3-1 win for Team Kingdom of the Netherlands. They beat Russia as they improved to 3-0. Team Kingdom of the Netherlands is the favorite to win the tournament.
