Luis MateoAfter only two rehab appearances, Mets prospect Luis Mateo has found himself back on the DL this evening. Mateo, since returning from the DL on May 30th, has made two appearances. He allowed two hits in a scoreless inning on the 30th, but he ran into some trouble in his last outing on June 2nd. He allowed four runs off four hits, including a home run, and a walk.

No word yet on whether the 23-year old re-injured himself or aggravated something to end up on the DL again, but we will update you here as soon as we find out.

In the meantime, Carlos Vazquez has been re-promoted to St. Lucie from the Brooklyn roster to take his place, and Dimas Ponce has been promoted to St. Lucie as well. He will replace the roster spot that was vacated when Rylan Sandoval was promoted to Vegas recently. Ponce posted a .200/.263/.260 line in Brooklyn last year with a home run and 21 RBIs in 244 plate appearances.
