The Mets are playing three games today, but in their only official Grapefruit league game two of their top pitching prospects will get to see some action.

Rafael Montero pitched two scoreless innings in his first appearance. He struck out two, (unsurprisingly) walked none and didn’t allow a hit.

Lefty Steve Matz was also impressive– allowing a hit and striking out two in just one inning in relief.
