The New York Mets’ list of players participating in their 2020 instructional league has been released.

It features 27 pitchers, six catchers, 15 infielders, and 12 outfielders. Included on this roster of participants are many of the club’s top prospects and 2020 draft picks. The Mets’ instructional camp is being held at Clover Park in Port Saint Lucie, FL.

While camp is closed to the media, the players could be seen from Peacock Blvd (which runs parallel to Clover Park) participating in fielding activities on one of the side fields of Clover Park on Friday morning.

Per Baseball America, top prospects participating in camp include right-handed pitcher Matthew Allan, catcher Francisco Alvarez, and infielders Brett Baty and Mark Vientos.

As Metsmerized’s Jacob Resnick reported, all six of the Mets’ 2020 draft picks are in Port Saint Lucie for camp as well, including outfielders Pete Crow-Armstrong and Isaiah Green, right-handed pitcher J.T. Ginn, shortstop Anthony Walters, catcher Matthew Dyer, and right-handed pitcher Eric Orze.

Other notable participants include the following 2020 non-drafted free agents: right-handed pitchers Dylan Hall and Erik Kaiser, and outfielder Blaine McIntosh.

Ten international free agents are also participating in instructional camp.
