According to Michael Mayer of MMO, the New York Mets are adding three pitchers to their 60-player pool. Right-handed pitchers Jordan Humphreys and Matt Blackham and left-handed pitcher Stephen Gonsalves have been added and bring the Mets player pool to 54 players.

Humphreys, who missed most of the 2018 and 2019 season on the injured list. He had a 4.50 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, two strikeouts, one walk, and allowed two hits in 2.0 innings pitched for the Gulf Coast League Mets in 2019.

Humphreys was added to the Mets 40-man roster in the offseason following him pitching to a 0.77 in 11 2/3 innings of Arizona Fall League action.

Gonsalves was claimed off the waivers from the Minnesota Twins in November. He had a 4.15 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 21 strikeouts, seven walks, and allowed nine hits in 13 innings pitched between the Twins’ Pensacola Blue Wahoos, Rochester Red Wings, and Gulf Coast League Twins (on rehab assignment).

Blackham had a 2.60 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 5.0 H/9, 70 strikeouts, and 28 walks in 55 1/3 innings between Double-A Binghamton and Triple-A Syracuse in 2019. Blackham was invited to Mets Spring Training in January as a non-roster invitee.

Gonsalves and Humphreys are on the Mets 40-man roster, while Blackham is not and will be a minor league free agent at the end of the season.
