Mets Affiliates Release Their 2021 Schedules

Minor League Baseball unveiled their 2021 schedules on Thursday, and announced their start dates for each league. Triple-A teams will open their season on April 6, with Double-A, High-A, and Low-A affiliates opening their seasons just under a month later, on May 4.

The New York Mets’ Triple-A affiliate, the Syracuse Mets will open their season on Tuesday, April 6 with a 6-game road series against the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. They will open their first home slate on Tuesday, April 13 with a 6-game slate against the Buffalo Bisons. Double-A Binghamton’s season will begin on Tuesday, May 4. They open their season on the road as well, with a 6-game series against the Akron Rubber Ducks. They will open their first home series on Tuesday, May 11 against the Altoona Curve (also a 6-game series).

The Rumble Ponies will compete in a full 120-game season, with 60 home games and 60 road games, with all home stands being 6-games long to limit travel due to COVID-19.

The Mets’ High-A affiliate and reigning 2019 New York-Penn League Champion Brooklyn Cyclones will begin their 2021 season on Tuesday, May 4 with a 6-game road series against the Asheville Tourists. They will open their first home slate later that month, on Tuesday, May 18 against the Hudson Valley Renegades, the new High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees.

The St. Lucie Mets, the Low-A affiliate of the Mets for 2021 is the only Mets affiliate to open their 2021 season schedule at home. They will open their 2021 slate with a 6-game series against the Jupiter Hammerheads at Clover Park in Port Saint Lucie beginning on Tuesday, May 4. They will hit the road for their first road series on Tuesday, May 11 against the Daytona Tortugas.

As with all other full-season affiliates, St. Lucie will also play a full 120-game schedule, including 60 home games at Clover Park and 60-road games throughout the state of Florida.
