The 40-year old Colon will be entering his 17th season with his 10th club in the majors. Last year with Oakland, he was 18-6, 2.65 ERA, 117 K, 190.1 innings, 3 CG, 3 SHO in 30 games.
After winning 21 games in 2005 with the Angels, Colon was on a downward slide before turning it around with Oakland in 2012 and then his monster year in 2013.
We will see if he can do in Flushing what he did last season with the A’s, and if so, 2014 may be something special after all.
