As of 10:00am EST today, here are today’s Mets minor league starting pitchers:
Las Vegas 51s @ New Orleans Zephyrs, 10:05pm ET
Carlos Alvarado (4-2, 1.94 ERA) vs Brian Flynn (4-10, 2.95 ERA)
Alvarado takes the mound having lost his last two starts despite pitching well. He surrendered just one earned run in each start. Hopefully his offense can score some runs for him tonight.
Palm Beach Cardinals @ St. Lucie Mets, 6:30pm EST
Hector Hernandez (3-0, 2.42 ERA) vs Michael Fulmer (1-2, 4.38 ERA)
Fulmer goes for his second straight win despite a shaky outing in his last start. He walked four and struck out four while surrendering 3 runs in the win against Clearwater. Fulmer has been inconsistent since coming back from a knee injury.
Princeton Rays @ Kingsport Mets, 7:00pm ET
DJ Slaton (1-2, 2.89 ERA) vs Martires Arias (1-5, 7.41 ERA)
Arias looks to turn his season around coming off what may be his worst start of the year. Martires allowed seven earned runs over just 2.1 innings against Greenville on August 4th. He also walked two batters while striking out just one.
GCL Mets @ GCL Marlins, 12:00pm EST
The Mets open up their week with a matchup against the Marlins. The probable starters haven’t been announced yet.
