He earned his third straight win on August 15th against New Orleans, allowing four hits, no walks, and eight strikeouts in seven shutout innings. He’s thrown 122.2 innings in 2013, an increase from the 76.2 mark he put up in 2012 for Brooklyn. He last took the mound on August 13th against Rome. He allowed one run on three hits, no walks, and four strikeouts in six innings pitched. Ynoa is finishing his season on the right note; the right-hander has allowed two runs on 13 hits, no walks, and 13 strikeouts in 18.2 innings pitched.

Alvarez last took the mound on August 14th against Hudson Valley. He earned the no decision, allowing one run (none earned) on four hits, two walks and three strikeouts in six innings pitched. It was only the second quality start he’s put forth in 2013, and he hasn’t won either start. He’ll be trying to get off the snide at home; he’s 0-3 with a 4.13 ERA in 24 innings pitched (five starts).

Flexen’s streak of throwing at least seven innings in a start ended at five on August 14th against Princeton. The right-hander allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits (one homer), no walks, and six strikeouts in five innings pitched. It was the first time he hadn’t walked a batter since July 27th, and it was the most strikeouts he’s collected since he punched out 11 on July 21st.
