Matt Fox (7-4, 4.63 ERA) vs. TBD

PCL League Scoreboard

Fox will be looking to win his third straight decision tonight when he takes the mound in Colorado. He last pitched on August 24th against Fresno, allowing one run on six hits, no walks, and nine strikeouts in seven innings pitched. It was the third time in his last ten starts that he kept the opponent scoreless for six or more innings of work. In 57.2 innings pitched on the road, opponents are hitting .305 off him.

Erik Goeddel (9-6, 3.83 ERA) vs. Jason Hammel (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

Goeddel is looking for his first win since July 21st against New Britain. His last appearance ended up in a no decision against Akron on August 23rd, allowing three runs on eight hits, two walks, and four strikeouts in six innings pitched. The right-hander has lasted into the sixth inning in his last five starts. Depsite having a 3.30 ERA in 30 innings pitched during August, Goeddel is 0-2 in five starts.

Alex Panteliodis (6-5, 4.52 ERA) vs. TBD

Panteliodis got hit hard for the second straight time, but took the no decision on August 23rd against Fort Myers. He allowed five runs on 10 hits (two homers), one walk, and four strikeouts in 4.1 innings pitched. It was the second time in his last three starts he didn’t make it out of the fifth inning, and he’s allowed nine runs and 19 hits over his last 12 innings of work.

Gabriel Ynoa (14-4, 2.71 ERA) vs. Frank Lafreniere (7-12, 5.32 ERA)

Ynoa is starting to get his workload restricted, and is pitching for the first time since he got his 14th victory of the season against Kannapolis on August 20th. The right-hander allowed two runs on five hits (one homer), no walks, and three strikeouts. As good as he was before the All-Star break (8-2, 2.77 ERA), he’s been just as good, if not better, after it (6-2, 2.62 ERA).

Giovanny Gallegos (2-6, 4.21 ERA) vs. Miller Diaz (5-3, 2.22 ERA)

Diaz broke a personal two-game losing streak and got back into the win column on August 23rd against Vermont. The right-hander allowed three hits, three walks, and 11 strikeouts in seven shutout innings of work for the Cyclones. In his two starts since the NYPL All-Star break (13 IP), Diaz is 1-0 with a 0.69 ERA, allowing six walks and striking out 18 hitters.

APP League Scoreboard

Gomez is making his first start since July 7th, and the last two games he’s appeared in have come in a relief role. However, he still hasn’t allowed an earned run this season, spanning 23 innings pitched. He last pitched on August 23rd against Bluefield, allowing three hits, no walks, and four strikeouts in 3.2 innings of work. Through three appearances as a starter, opponents are hitting .140 off him.
