Las Vegas 51s @ Nashville Sounds, 8:05pm EST

Jacob deGrom (3-1, 4.33 ERA) vs. TBD

PCL League Scoreboard

deGrom came down to earth in his July 23rd start against Reno. It was his shortest outing since getting transferred to Triple-A. deGrom allowed five runs on eight hits (one home run), four walks, and six strikeouts in 3.2 innings pitched. The last time he walked four batters in a game was on June 23rd against Salt Lake. Since then, he walked just three in his next 24.1 innings pitched before losing his control in his most recent start.

Greg Peavey (0-0, 2.25 ERA) vs. Taylor Hill (2-4, 2.42 ERA)

EAS League Scoreboard

Peavey takes the mound for his second start with the B-Mets since getting transferred back from Triple-A Las Vegas. His first appearance with Binghamton was his first start of the year after 38 relief appearances. The right-hander allowed one run on three hits, three walks, and four strikeouts in four innings pitched. He was 4-3 with a 6.00 ERA in 57 innings pitched with Las Vegas.

TBD vs. Alex Panteliodis (5-4, 4.46 ERA)

FSL League Scoreboard

After two straight seven inning performances where he kept the opponent scoreless, Panteliodis got rocked on July 27th against Lakeland. He allowed seven runs on nine hits (two home runs), no walks, and one strikeout in just two innings pitched. He’s likely happy to be pitching at Tradition Field; he owns a 3.13 ERA and .257 opponent batting average at home, and a 6.59 ERA and .336 opponent batting average on the road.

Savannah Sand Gnats @ Greenville Drive, 7:05pm EST

Matt Koch (6-4, 4.76 ERA) vs. TBD

SAL League Scoreboard

Koch bounced back from his worst start of the year against Delaware (3 IP, 6 ER, 11 H) and almost no-hit Augusta on July 27th. He threw a one-hit, seven-inning complete game, allowing one run on no walks, and three strikeouts. It was the longest he’s gone in a game since he shutout Rome over 7.1 innings of work on June 28th. He’s taking the start on the road where he’s 3-1, but also has a 5.00 ERA and .315 opponent batting average.

Brooklyn Cyclones @ Jamestown Jammers, 7:05pm EST

Miller Diaz (3-1, 2.48 ERA) vs. TBD

NYPL League Scoreboard

Diaz won his third game in four starts on July 27th against Staten Island. The right-hander allowed two runs on five hits, four walks, and eight strikeouts in six innings pitched. It was the second time this season he’s lasted that long in a game, and is also his second quality start. Diaz’s 11.6 K/9IP is the highest ratio he’s experienced in his career, but his 4.2 BB/9 needs to come down a bit.

Johnson City Cardinals @ Kingsport Mets, 7:00pm EST

Nick Lomascolo (1-2, 4.97 ERA) vs. Andrew Massie (1-0, 3.68 ERA)

APP League Scoreboard

Massie takes the mound tonight with hopes of turning in his third straight quality start for the K-Mets. He earned the no decision in his last start against Princeton, but the defense and his lack of control didn’t help much. He allowed three runs (no earned) on just one hit, but five walks, and two strikeouts in six innings pitched. Prior to this five-walk game, he’d only walked five others in his first 16 innings this season. He’s tallied a total of 22 innings in Appy League action, walking 10 and striking out 11.
