Carlos Alvarado (4-1, 1.96 ERA) vs. Nick Additon (7-6, 4.25 ERA)
Alvarado took a hard luck loss on August 1st against Nashville. He allowed just one run on six hits (one homer), three walks, and three strikeouts in six innings pitched. After failing to complete six innings for the second time since joining the organization on July 27th, Alvarado pitches into the seventh inning this time around. It’s his fifth quality start out of seven total.

The B-Mets get on the field for the first time since the Cesar Puello suspension was made official. They’ll be playing two, and neither of the probable starters have been announced yet. Jonathon Niese could be making one of the starts, as he’s expected to make one more rehab start before returning to the Mets in the major leagues on Sunday.

Brett Gerritse (8-5, 3.88 ERA) vs. Gabriel Ynoa (12-4, 2.95 ERA)
Ynoa has the task of following up a superb outing from Luis Cessa. If anyone is up to the task, it’s him. The right-hander won his second straight start on July 31st against Asheville, allowing one run on seven hits, one walk, and four strikeouts in six innings pitched. In his last four starts, Ynoa has walked just three hitters in 22.2 innings pitched.
Connecticut Tigers @ Brooklyn Cyclones
Jonathon Crawford (0-2, 2.20 ERA) vs. Dario Alvarez (1-3, 5.01 ERA)
The Cyclones get a six-week homestand started tonight at MCU Park against the Tigers. They’ll be sending Alvarez to the mound, who lost his second straight decision on July 31st against Williamsport. He allowed four runs on five hits (one homer), no walks, and two strikeouts in three innings pitched. He’ll be looking to improve on his 0-2 record and 6.43 ERA at home, compared to his 1-1 record and 3.93 ERA on the road.
Pulaski Mariners @ Kingsport Mets, 7:00pm EST
The K-Mets start a three-game set at home against the Pulaski Mariners tonight at Hunter Wright Stadium. The starters haven’t been announced yet.
