As of 9:00am EST today, here are today’s Mets minor league starting pitchers:

Oklahoma City Red Hawks @ Las Vegas 51s, 10:05pm EST

Bobby Doran (0-0, 4.91 ERA) vs. Matt Fox (5-3, 4.48 ERA)

PCL League Scoreboard

Fox last took the mound on August 3rd against Memphis, earning the no decision. He allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits, no walks, and five strikeouts in six innings pitched. Despite opponents hitting .354 against him at Cashman Field, Fox is 2-0 with a 2.83 ERA in 28.2 innings pitched (five starts) in Las Vegas. On the road, opponents are hitting .292, but he’s 3-3 with a 5.37 ERA in 53.2 innings pitched (10 starts).

The B-Mets will be playing a doubleheader tonight on the road against Erie. The first match-up is a suspended game from April 10th, where Binghamton is currently leading 1-0 in the fourth inning. Peavey will take the mound once the game resumes. He earned his first win with the B-Mets on August 2nd against Harrisburg, allowing one hit, two walks, and six strikeouts in six shutout innings pitched. The probable pitchers for the second game tonight haven’t been announced yet.

Alex Panteliodis (6-4, 4.11 ERA) vs. Joely Rodriguez (2-3, 2.18 ERA)

After giving up seven runs and nine hits against Lakeland on July 27th, Panteliodis came back with 6.1 shutout innings on August 2nd Clearwater. He allowed six hits, one walk, and six strikeouts in getting the win. He’s struggled on the road this season, and will be trying to get himself on track tonight. He’s 1-3 with a 6.59 ERA and .336 opponent batting average 28.2 road innings.

Matz last pitched on August 3rd against Greenville, as the Mets are starting to limit his workload this season. The southpaw earned the no decision, allowing three runs on nine hits (one homer), one walk, and five strikeouts in 5.1 innings pitched. It was the first time he’d taken the mound since July 21st. In 42.2 innings pitched at home, Matz owns a 1.90 ERA and .193 opponent batting average. That includes 50 strikeouts and 11 walks.

Diaz won his third straight start on August 2nd against Jamestown. He allowed one run on two hits, two walks, and eight strikeouts in six innings pitched. In his last three starts (17 innings pitched), he’s struck out 25 hitters. Opponents are hitting just .184 off the NYPL All-Star in 42.1 innings pitched this season.

Robert Whalen (2-1, 1.54 ERA) vs. Chris Lee (2-1, 2.83 ERA)

APP League Scoreboard

Whalen earned the no decision against Johnson City on August 2nd, but it wasn’t because of his performance. He allowed two runs on five hits, one walk, and six strikeouts in seven innings pitched. He’s been one of the most consistent pitchers in Kingsport, pitching into the sixth inning all but once in his eight starts in 2013. He also has five quality starts on the season.
