As of 9:00am EST today, here are today’s Mets minor league starting pitchers:

las-vegas-51s

Tucson Padres @ Las Vegas 51s, GM 1, 8:05pm EST

Tyson Ross (0-0, 13.50 ERA) vs. Chris Schwinden (4-8, 5.68 ERA)

Tucson Padres @ Las Vegas 51s, GM 2, immediately after

Robbie Erlin (6-2, 5.25 ERA) vs. TBD

PCL League Scoreboard

The Padres and 51s will be playing two games tonight, followed by fireworks for the crowd at Cashman Field. Schwinden will be getting some time on the mound tonight. He earned the no decision on July 7th at Tucson, but turned in his third straight solid start. The right-hander allowed three runs (two earned) on eight hits, one walk, and three strikeouts in 5.2 innings pitched. It’s the third straight start that Schwinden has allowed only two earned runs, while also pitching into at least the sixth inning.

Portland Sea Dogs @ Binghamton Mets, 7:05pm EST

Keith Couch (6-2, 3.67 ERA) vs. Mark Cohoon (4-3, 4.86 ERA)

EAS League Scoreboard

The B-Mets got their second half off to a good start with two wins last night against the Sea Dogs. The series continues tonight, as Binghamton sends Cohoon to the mound. He last pitched on July 5th against New Hampshire, allowing three runs on three hits (one homer), three walks, and five strikeouts in five innings pitched. He’s thrown five innings in a start his last six times to the mound, and has at least five strikeouts in four of those appearances.

Dunedin Blue Jays @ St. Lucie Mets, 6:30pm EST

Scott Copeland (7-4, 2.93 ERA) vs. Alex Panteliodis (3-3, 4.63 ERA)

FSL League Scoreboard

St. Lucie hasn’t officially announced their starter yet, but I think it’s going to be Panteliodis. He last pitched on July 6th against Fort Myers, and allowed three runs on seven hits (one homer), three walks, and one strikeout in five innings pitched. He’s had some problems with his control and making hitters miss in his last two starts; the southpaw has thrown 8.2 innings in his last two appearances, surrendering 15 hits, 11 runs, five walks, and only two strikeouts.

A - sand gnats

Augusta GreenJackets @ Savannah Sand Gnats, 7:05pm EST

Luis Diaz (4-4, 3.06 ERA) vs. Steven Matz (3-4, 2.28 ERA)

SAL League Scoreboard

Matz takes the mound tonight, hoping to turn in his fourth straight quality start. The southpaw pitched a seven-inning complete game shutout in Game 2 of a doubleheader against Greenville on July 6th. He allowed three hits and three walks, while striking out five hitters. He’s been extra tough on right-handed hitters this season; he owns a 1.93 ERA and .209 opponent batting average against them.

Brooklyn Cyclones @ Auburn Doubledays, 7:05pm EST

Robert Gsellman (0-1, 1.23 ERA) vs. TBD

NYPL League Scoreboard

The ‘Clones split their doubleheader against Auburn last night, and look to take the series tonight before heading off to Connecticut. Brooklyn will send Gsellman to the mound, still searching for his first win with Brooklyn in 2013, in what will be his fifth start. He earned his third straight no decision on July 6th against Aberdeen, allowing three runs on six hits (one homer), two walks, and six strikeouts in five innings pitched. It was his shortest NYPL outing since his season debut against Staten Island, when he also went five innings.

lrg_Kingsport_Mets52

Kingsport Mets @ Danville Braves, GM 1, 4:30pm EST

Persio Reyes (0-1, 9.45 ERA) vs. TBD

Kingsport Mets @ Danville Braves, GM 2, immediately after

Andrew Massie (0-0, 7.20 ERA) vs. TBD

APP League Scoreboard

The rain that cancelled yesterday’s game between Kingsport and Danville has forced the coaching staff to juggle around the K-Mets rotation. Reyes is starting for the first time since he got touched up for seven runs in 3.2 innings on July 6th, but Massie hasn’t started a game since June 28th, only pitching 2.2 innings in relief since then.
