As of 12:00pm EST today, here are today’s Mets minor league starting pitchers:

las-vegas-51s

Fresno Grizzlies @ Las Vegas 51s 10:05pm EST

TBD vs. Rafael Montero (0-1, 4.50 ERA)

PCL League Scoreboard

Montero finally showed he was human in his last start for Las Vegas, putting together his worst start since being promoted to Triple-A. He took the mound on June 25th at home against Salt Lake, allowing four runs on five hits, three walks, and one strikeout in three innings pitched. The earned runs and walks were season-highs with the 51s, while the strikeouts and innings pitched were season lows. He’ll be trying to bounce back tonight in front of the home crowd, where opponents are hitting .333 off him in 8.1 innings pitched.

Nick Kingham (1-1, 3.50 ERA) vs. Erik Goeddel (7-2, 3.72 ERA)

EAS League Scoreboard

Goeddel takes the mound with hopes of winning his seventh straight decision. His most recent start came on June 24th against Portland. The product of UCLA went seven shutout innings, scattering six hits, one walk, and seven strikeouts for the win. He’s been excellent in his last ten starts, giving up more than three runs in an appearance just once, and pitching into the sixth inning on seven occasions. His seven wins are also second in the Eastern League, only trailing fellow rotation mate, Logan Verrett.

St. Lucie Mets @ Fort Myers Miracle 7:05pm EST

Domingo Tapia (2-4, 4.19 ERA) vs. Tyler Duffy (0-3, 6.65 ERA)

FSL League Scoreboard

Tapia is hoping to prevent the sweep at the hands of the Miracle tonight in Fort Myers. He earned his fifth straight no decision in his last start against Palm Beach on June 26th. The right-hander allowed three runs on six hits, three walks, and six strikeouts in five innings pitched. He’s walked 10 in his last 14.1 innings pitched, and will try to improve on his 0-2 record and 5.73 ERA on the road. In 22 innings away from Tradition Field, Tapia has struck out 21 hitters, walked 15, and has surrendered an opponent batting average of .307.

A - sand gnats

Hickory Crawdads @ Savannah Sand Gnats, 7:05pm EST

Luis Parra (3-1, 1.05 ERA) vs. Jake Kuebler (2-3, 2.62 ERA)

SAL League Scoreboard

Kuebler has quietly been very consistent for the Sand Gnats since being inserted into the starting rotation. His last appearance came on June 24th against Augusta. The right-hander allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits, one walk, and two strikeouts in five innings pitched. After lasting four innings in his first two starts, he’s now lasted five in each of his last three. In five total starts (23 innings pitched) Kuebler is 2-1 with a 1.96 ERA and .205 opponent batting average.

Staten Island Yankees @ Brooklyn Cyclones, GM 1 6:00pm EST

TBD vs. Miller Diaz (0-1, 2.79 ERA)

Staten Island Yankees @ Brooklyn Cyclones, GM 2, immediately after

TBD vs. John Gant (1-1, 2.45 ERA)

NYPL League Scoreboard

Miller Diaz will likely be taking the hill tonight in Game 1 of a doubleheader between the Cyclones and Baby Bombers. Diaz once again pitched well in his last start, but it was the defense letting him down in the no decision. He allowed five runs (one earned) on five hits, two walks, and seven strikeouts in five innings pitched. Through two starts (9.2 IP), Diaz has allowed 10 runs to score, but only three have been earned.

Gant will take the mound at MCU Park for Game 2 of the doubleheader, coming off a 10-strikeout performance against Aberdeen. He did get his first loss of the season; the right-hander allowed three runs on six hits, no walks, and those 10 punch outs in six innings pitched.

Elizabethton Twins @ Kingsport Mets, 7:00pm EST

TBD vs. Martires Arias (0-2, 15.88 ERA)

APP League Scoreboard

Arias takes the mound tonight in Kingsport trying to get his season on track. His last start came on June 25th, and even though he lasted longer than his first start of the year, it was just as bad. The right-hander allowed eight runs (seven earned) on seven hits, one walk, and one strikeout in four innings pitched. In two starts (5.2 IP), Arias has allowed 10 hits and four walks, including 10 earned runs.

Michael Fulmer (1-0, 0.00 ERA) vs. Logan Billbrough (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

GCL League Scoreboard

Fulmer takes the mound again for his second start with GCL. His first one was stellar, as he helped the Mets earn their only win so far in 2013. The right-hander allowed three hits and one walk, while striking out six in six shutout innings.
