Fox bounced back from his worst start of the season against Tacoma to have one of his best on June 14th against Colorado Springs. The right-hander went six innings, allowing two runs on eight hits, two walks, and four strikeouts. He has gotten hit hard in his last two starts, while giving up more walks than he had in his previous four. Over his last 10 innings pitched, he’s seen 16 hits and five walks happen at his expense, while striking out six.

A postponed game leads to a doubleheader today in Richmond for the B-Mets. Goeddel last took the mound a week ago against the Trenton Thunder, winning his second straight start. The right-hander went six innings, allowing two runs on eight hits, two walks, and eight strikeouts. It was the seventh time in his 12 starts that he walked more than one hitter, but the eight punch outs are a season-high. This is Goeddel’s 13th start of 2013, and it will be his 12th underneath the night lights. He”ll try to get his seventh victory under the lights this year.

Gorski is slated to start Game 2 of the doubleheader, and will be making his second start with Binghamton. His first appearance came on June 12th against Trenton. He gave up one run in four innings of work, allowing four hits, one walk, and five strikeouts. In Vegas, he posted a 1-1 record in four appearances (three starts). He allowed 17 hits and nine walks, while striking out seven in 13.2 innings pitched.

Lara takes the mound for the fourth time since getting promoted to Advanced-A after going 4-2 with a 1.42 ERA in eight Sally League starts. His last appearance came on June 12th against Clearwater. The right-hander went six innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, one walk, and five strikeouts. Despite the solid effort, Lara suffered his second consecutive loss. In 70 combined innings between Savannah and St. Lucie, Lara has struck out 65 hitters, while walking only eight. He’s continued pounding the strike zone since his promotion, allowing just two free passes in 19.1 innings pitched.

Miller Diaz was supposed to pitch the home opener last night for the Cyclones, but Mother Nature had other plans. So, he’s slated to start tonight in Staten Island. Last season, Diaz spent most of his time in Kingsport, with one start coming for Savannah. In 11 appearances (five starts), the right-hander went 2-1 with a 3.56 ERA, 45 strikeouts, and 18 walks in 43 innings pitched. His lone start with Savannah last 4.2 innings and he allowed six runs (three earned), while allowing only one walk and eight strikeouts.
